The Holiday Season

Promise yourself this holiday season to release the need to please, and take should out of your vocabulary. Have a family meeting, and ask everyone to list their three most treasured memories from holidays past. Read all of the entries aloud, and decide together to make your favorite things a tradition in your family. You may be surprised when some of the things that you spend the most effort on- don't make the list. Make a commitment as a family to free yourselves from the harsh world of fear, judgment, comparisons and shoulds. Free yourself from obligations that drain your time and energy and do not bring you joy. After all, is it really giving if it doesn't come from the heart?
